What does it all mean?
A domain name is a series of
alphanumeric strings
separated by periods, such
as www.ezhosters.com,
serving as an address for a
computer network connection
and identifying the owner of
the address. The last three
letters in a domain
name indicates
what type of organization
owns the address: For
example; .com stands for
commercial, .edu for
educational, and .gov for
government.
Web hosting is the service
that allows you to make your
graphics, web pages and
content accessible via the
world wide web. You are
given a set amount of space
on a server in which to host
this content.
Website Design is just that,
the design of your website.
If you aren't tech savvy
DON'T WORRY, your web space
comes with a number of
different website builders
to help you design your
website. EZhosters will also
be offering website design
for a reasonable fee soon.
Part of
the reason we are able to
offer web hosting at such
low prices is due to domain
names being serviced by
other companies.
EZhosters does not sell
domain names, so you must
purchase one through another
company and then edit the
"DNS Settings" to match your
hosting plan.
There are several services
that you can purchase domain
names from. We recommend
using godaddy.com, but you
may choose whichever service
you want.
